Can an object have Spell Resistance?

Some spells that target only objects list "Yes" for Spell Resistance.

Do objects have SR? Or does this refer to objects held by creatures with SR (like with saves)?

Greater magic weapon is an example. Does this mean SR applies only if you (for some odd reason) want to cast this on an enemy's weapon? Or if you cast it on an ally's weapon, he has to drop his SR for the reception? Or does it mean enemies with SR can resist the +5 magic of the spelled weapon?

No.
OK.

If you look in the adventure Lost Tomb of Kruk-Ma-Kali it details a greater Spell resistance spell that can be used on objects and turned permenant. Not really official, but out there.
