Can ANimate Object be cast on Power Armor?

Meant to be humorous, but it has come up...

Can the spell be cast on Power armor? If so, does the new construct have the base stats, or the armor augmentation stats?

Thanks! Running a DS campaign, and our pilot (Small halfling) has taken levels in Urban Druid. His animal companion is a small animated object. Since he's proficient with power armor...

.....if the Power Armor is considered a Construct, then it's already considered a creature, which means Animate Object wouldn't work on it. No moreso than it would work on an Animated Object (besides the fact it'd be doubly redundant), Iron Golem, Homonculus, or other object that was already turned into a Construct.

Power armor is its own class of armor (outside of light/med/heavy). He's gained levels in Urban Druid, and wants to turn his power armor into an animated construct (the UD's version of an animal companion).
