There is no 3e equivalent to a turn.
Umm that sucks. The dragons breath weapon lasts a number of turns. Putting it down as 2d4 x 10 minutes will work but I was hoping to "clean it up" a little.
Well- at first it is difficult perhaps. But once ya do a few hundred and get the hang of it, you can pretty much do it without referring to the conversion/design article at all.
The contributors? That would be me, Boz, and Erica.
Well thank you all you have done a wonderful job.
IIRC, it works for all the dragons in the MM except the white (I think) and perhaps the bronze (or one other, cant remember which).
For example, an adult blue dragon is age category 6 and has a Con bonus of +5. So, its SR should be 10 + 6 + 5 or 21. Check the MM, it is 21.
Great wyrm red dragon is age cat 12 and has a Con bonus of +10. Its SR should be 10 + 12 + 10 or 32. Check the MM, it is 32.
Umm actually in my MM it doesn't work well with a lot of them black, white, and some others as well. None of the SRs were changed in the errata either.
Example adult black dragon has a SR of 18 by your calc it should be 10 + 6 + 4(19 con) = 20.
Great wyrm copper dragon has SR 31 formula says 10 + 12 + 8 = 30. Ok so they aren't much off.

But I think I will go with your method. Do you have any suggestions for assigning stats at all? Like how they advance and how to go about giving stats to begin with. I know the article has some average ones but the dragons seem to fluctuate quite a bit.
Again thank you for all your help.
Yeah the quotes worked
