Only "animals" can be animal companions, not beasts, not magical beasts, not vermin.

Ok understood...

Can it be equiped with metal armor or is it bound with the spiritual kinship of the druid? I don't see why a druid would let his animal wearing metal armor, but I need a confirmation...

thanks

Animal Friendship targets "an animal."

I know, I asked the question because a Brown Bear, even from an other plane, could have been an animal... Anyway, it is logical to look at the type (which is Magical Beast) and find if it is an animal or not. Thanks.

Depends what the Druidid oaths are in your campaign. Does the Druid typically have problems with other people who don't follow his weapon and armor oaths?

Nope, our druid respect our way of thinking as long as we halp him in his quest. He never complained about other people wearing metal.

We are lucky it is like this, he would not like my full-plated Dwarven warrior that much :D
