Can Druids use "Great Clubs"?

I ask b/c I'm planning on playing a Barbarian/Druid, and I think it'd be a great weapon for the character.

I mean, a GreatClub is basically a large club, so why not, right?

By the core rules, a druid is restricted to the weapons on the class list. By the rules, use of a greatclub violates the druid's spiritual oaths.

Unless someo other rule modifies this for your character - for instance, Mielikki in FR allows her druids to use more weapons, I believe.

According to the rules, what is a scimitar, or a regular club made for a size Large creature (more damage, two handed) legal?

That one's debatable :)

I'd say the oaths permit weapons appropriate to one's size.

Others might disagree.

Of course, things get confusing when spells like Righteous Might come into play...

The scimitar (a curved blade) is similarly shaped to many of natures weapons. The curve of a predators tooth and claws, for example, or a thorn.

... and yet the druid can't use a kukri or a falchion.

house rule it? ... here's mine

Druids
 Weapon proficiencies/feats: add Great Club to the Druid list.
 Elf’s can use their free weapon proficiencies without violating their oaths.
 Druids can spend a martial/exotic weapon feat to use the Falchoin (M), Great Scimitar (E), Scythe (M), Kukri (E) or Khopesh (E) without violating their oaths.

It's just one of those "WTF?" rules that you occasionally find in the game. The Druid weapon restrictions just don't make any sense since there are too many inconsistencies. They can use scimitars but not falchions or kukri's, they can't use bows or arrows because of the metal in the arrowheads but they can use a scimitar or spear, they can use a sling but they can't throw rocks, etc.

Personally, I just ignore the restrictions if the player can give me a good reason why their Druid should be able to wield a given weapon.
