D&D 5E Can I handle two shields and cast spell with War Caster feat?

In 4e I had a Dragonborn Fighter with this weird Paragon Path, the Snapping Testudo, which allowed me to dual-wield shields for an additional +1 AC (and a +4 to all defenses whenever I spent an Action Point). It was far from optimal, but it was pretty fun, and I still have the mini somewhere.
