Can somebody tell me what Wraithstrike does?

There are threads about this spell that I want to read, but lack the motivation because I don't know what it does and don't want to sift through all the posts to find one that just tells me, so...

Can someone just tell me what it does?

Yeah, the most recent version appeared in the Spell Compendium. The touch attack thing is bad enough, but when coupled with the fact that DR is ineffective against touch attacks... {shudder}

I thought that debate was kind of over. Not that I have a particular opinion, but I thought the consensus was that touch attacks don't bypass DR. I know there was something like "what the...!?" when it was first brought up, but rather quickly squashed...

Kind of hard to reach that conclusion when the DMG specifically states that they do.

Well, I just thought that's what was decided I guess. I also hadn't noticed the poll that was open about it, but did just now! I guess you're referring to the part about the "damage reduction does not negate touch attacks" part?

Edit: The DMG doesn't say that touch attacks bypass DR, does it?
