Can someone explain exalted?

I don't know if you are familiar with the Palladium system, but they have a nice alignment system that seems to make sense. One of the alignments is Selfish. I see CN people like this. They only care about themselves, no matter what the law says.

I do not disagree.

Selfish is very CN.

But, selfish still does not mean striking down fleeing opponents. I know of players who would say "He who dies today, does not come back and harm me tomorrow. Hence, selfish." But, I consider that backhanded justification for doing evil.
