Can teleport break a grapple?

Don't dimension door and teleport only have a verbal component? Shouldn't be too hard to do, then...

Right, those spells have only V components, so you can cast them while grappled. You still need to make a Concentration check against DC 20+spell level.

Teleporting out of a grapple is viable... and annoying to those on the party doing the grappling..

I had this pulled against me in a module once. BBEG was a wizard and was doing us some significant damage until someone grappled him... then he just teleported away.

Since then, my cleric started carrying items of teleport (ioun stones, etc), as grappling is far more easier broken through teleportation than through fighting it.
