Yep. Warlocks get mighty powerful starting at 12th level if your game is one where you have enough down time to make items. Especially if you have a DM that considers a single scroll with multiple spells to be a "single item". In which case writing a fair number of low level scrolls really makes a Warlock a much more flexible character.

Warlock+ Blood Magus. Other than a wasted feat or two, really quite powerful. Again, depending on the nature of the game...

Ah, have overread that.

I wouldn't really call it a main ability, but then I'm not particularly into making magic items. The scoll thing sounds nice, though (this way you can guarantee access to all those spells you might need but don't have in the party).

This also makes Warlocks uber spell researchers, as nothing prevents a Wizard from scribing one of the "faked" scrolls.

Yeah, but divine spells are harder to pull off. Not impossible, depending on the Warlock build (mine has no chr bonus because he doesn't have any invocations that require saving throws, nor will get get any -- thus my points in the point buy went to dex and con). Still, crafting divine spell scrolls would also not make for a calm, relaxed DM. At least in my case. :)
