Can you "detect magic" Constructs?

I have another question.

Does Construct show Aura to Detect Magic spell?

I think they do,
since they are created by Item Creation feat,
but I couldn't find any reference.

I would say no, because, even though the detect magic spell doesnt say yay or nay (nor does the Construct entry in the MM), the antimagic field spell states that it doesnt affect constructs that are imbued with magic during creation and are thereafter self supporting.

So, if ya can't nullify magic because it isnt there, ya can't detect it either.

So, I'd say no. Just me maybe.

Not entirely. It says they continue to function but that any supernatural or spell-like abilities they have do not (i.e. breath weapons, etc). A purely animated item may not radiate magic but several of the golems should definitely show up on detect magic. Depending on their specials they all might, but I cannot remember if the Flesh or clay golems have anything that qualifies as supernatural.

Personally, I'd let golems still be visible to detect magic even if a strict interpretation of the rules says otherwise. But I've been known to encase a golem in plaster (100% concealment/cover) and have it rely on Listen checks to attack so my players don't count on anything.

No. This has been answered a few times by the Sage (might be in the FAQ). After the magic ritual is done, the magic is over and the construct is simply animated. It does not radiate magic, nor can it be dispelled or shut down in an antimagic field.

Thank you all. :)

And sorry for the repetition,
dcollins.
I will try to look into the FAQ first next time.

I kind of dislike that ruling,
(It's probably there to keep Golems operating in Anti-magic, but.)
and think that it should be in the Book in 3.5 either way.

Anyway, thanks again for the infomation.
I like to know how it's done officially,
even if I end up house-ruling it.
