Hey gang, just thought I'd point out a pre-Black Friday deal for any Canadians who haven't purchased 5E yet but are considering it.

For Monday, November 17th only, chapter.ca is offering five hardcovers for $150 (regular $241). The books include Player's Handbook, Monster Manual, Dungeon Master's Guide, Hoard of the Dragon Queen, and Rise of Tiamat. It looks like you have to put one of each in your order, then the discount gets applied at the checkout.

Official text of the offer:

Hopefully this is helpful for somebody! (5E's pretty great, and I personally don't regret upgrading.)

Chapters.ca, if you're reading this, I'd like a cut of the sales. Kthxbye.

Is this a good deal? I pre-ordered the MM and DMG for just under $28 each. I assume the price must have gone up on them?

That sounds about similar to the deep-discount price I paid at the original release date. Chapters.ca and amazon.ca both seem to list at about $37 on an average day. All said and done, this discount is even better that usual, but possibly not as good as what we paid back in June/July.
