Yes, definately shouldn't be doing this! Not sure why in the past 24 hours this has happened to 2 seperate users! (I certainly didn't change anything, I was at the airport!) Try clicking "Your ENGS account" or using the browse filters and click "Go".

Had to fill out a form. Nuttin about fillin out no bloody forms on the store's front page there weren't. Really needs to be.

Generally speaking, you don't have to fill out the form, not sure why it was forcing you to do so and not automatically creating your account.
