Carmina Burana Monumental Opera

Mildly on topic since it has been in so many movies and influenced scads of composers.

Has anybody seen the Carmina Burana Monumental Opera yet? I'm going in March and it looks incredible. The pictures of the tower and costumes look unbelievable. I'm getting all goosebumpy just thinking about this monstrous multimedia production beginning with the rising power of O Fortuna.

Couldn't find an official website, but here's a blurb:

Are they on tour?

Their official web site is http://www.carmina-burana.com/

The English-language page for showdates is here.

Upcoming dates in North America are:

Puerto Rico 19.02.2005
Ottawa 01.03.2005
Toronto 02.03.2005
Washington 03.03.2005
Chicago 05.03.2005
Montreal 09.03.2005

And there is one show in Oldenburg on 26.01.2005

(Since this is a European company, the dates are most likely DD-MM-YYYY format. Looks like they have a short tour in early March of 2005 and nothing else (yet).)

*sniff, sniff* No...n-o, NY......

Now that looks like a show that would be playing in Sigil. :) I often play that mind-game. I hear some piece of really exotic music and think 'now that would be playing in a bar in Waterdeep'. I saw Carmina Burana once outdoors at the Blossom Music Center outside of Cleveland and they had a full orchestra plus choir, plus children's choir and fireworks at the end. It was a beautiful crystal clear night, and it was one of the most amazing things I've ever experienced.
