Carnivale 11/30 *SPOILERS*

Oh sweet merciful crap!

Well, nice to know Lyla is just a bitch, and not evil.

"My Prince"? Looks like the devil has a hand in the Carnivale after all.

So Ben is tempted by darkness, and acts on it. Justin realizes the darkness in himself and wants to be forgiven.

Sophie is a mystery so far - she's obviously important, as the Templar said in her vision ("Every prophet in her house"). But that was just brutal with the betrayal of her friends. But why did Appolonia try and kill her as well? I'm assuming that Sophie is the "she" referred to in Appolonia and Lodz's conversation.

And Justin and Iris are just SO creepy. But the scene with him and Norman, and his revelation that Norman's sin was letting him live was powerful.

I'll have more thoughts later, I need to let it sink in.

I wanted to bang my head against the wall after watching the "season finale" of Carnivale. There were some powerful scenes in this episode. Norman's greatest sin was saving Justin's life was a whammy. Sofie getting even with both Clayton and Libby was also a bit of a shocker. Of course, I was hoping for something else between the trio but less said about that the better ;) Even the scenes with Lodz and Scudder were pretty cool.

Of course, there are still soooo many unanswered questions. And where was the Tattoo Man in this episode?

I really hope there is a second season of this intense show.

Definately quite cool. The fate of Lodz was one of those things that I didn't see coming, and yet fit perfectly. The only thing I didn't like was the fire cliffhanger; I'd prefer to know the fates than having to wait however long until next season (gotta be at least several months, right?)

A comment on the "prince" designation: I'm thinking Russian royal family. This is only about 20 years after the revolution, and missing Russian royals were sort of a cultural trend then- claimants were popping up every so often, there was the whole thing with Anastasia, etc.

I knew Appolonia was going downhill, but damn! I seriously doubt that she'll survive the fire, being an invalid and all. Which is too bad, because it leaves a lot of unanswered questions. She and Lodz seemed to have the best handle on what was going on, and they both die at the same time- leaving only Management (and fat chance on getting answers from him). Quite a coincidence, eh?

Someone mentioned the man with the tree tattoos before- for a while I assumed that he was Scudder, but after the last couple of episodes I'm not so sure. Anyone have any ideas?

Also- mock my powers of observation all you want, but I've just recently figured out that Brother Justin is played by Clancey "Kurgen" Brown. I blame the titles- I'm so busy watching the pictures merge, I don't even pay attention to the words...
