This was a show my wife and I faithfully watched when HBO ran it here. We both thought it was great, obviously. Magic and wierdnes was subtle and freaky, the hard times atmosphere of the US Depression era was well captured, and the characters had depth (even the one that had, I think, one (1) line all season long). The pacing was sometimes slower than I would have liked, but that's about the worst thing I can say about it. There's still a boat load of questions left unanswered at the season's closing episode, so we're looking forward to season II, but there were also some great resolutions.
