Man, you guys are really making me miss the great old days of gaming stores in the Toronto area. Four Horsemen. Battered Dwarf. Mr Gameways Arc. The original silver Snail when it was something like three floors, spread across three storefronts. Now it's a single floor walk-up, just around the corner from the uni where I work, and the others are all gone :(

Leisure Games doesn't count, it's in Finchley. You wouldn't catch me in North London.

There's no real possibility, no.

The very first time you tested your shop - and everyone tests their shop before it goes live - you'd absolutely notice the tipping, and think wow that's weird, and turn it off, because if you're technically competent enough to set up one of these shops and get paid, 100% you are technically competent enough to find and toggle the tipping.

If it's a physical shop that serves food/drink, then it's a different issue, sure.
Sorry, just saw this now.

What you're suggesting is the ideal. In reality, you're up against human nature. People forget things. Life interrupts, and they get distracted and they skip steps. Or they're dealing with something that's over their head, and they take the shortest path that gets them out of deep water.

You're also I think forgetting that these online shops are designed to be turnkey. You're getting folks setting up these things that aren't built or trained to look at every last detail. Click, click, click and they're through.

tldr; Your analysis is failing to take a few considerations into account.
