Cast Lois Lane in the new Superman Flick

I would love to see Carpenter get more work but at the same time I am obsessed with Lost it's a toss up between those two.

I really, really, really like Charisma Carpenter, but she can't really pass for being in her low to mid-twenties anymore. (Not saying she's aged badly. In fact, the exact opposite is true.) Given the casting of a 24-year-old as Superman, I'm just not sure CC would work well alongside him. If I'm wrong, however--and I'd need to see them together to know--than absolutely, I'd like her to get the part.

Beyond that, I can't say. The only two other actresses on the list I recgonize are Portman and Russel, neither of whom would be a good Lois, IMO.

Mia Kirshner, you really can't base her acting on city of angels because she's done better movies then that. although she mostly plays the bad girls, I'd like to see her break out into a big movie cause I've enjoyed her in a lot of her indy films

The rumor *I* heard had Amy Acker (Fred/Illyria on Angel) as a lead-runner for Lois. That'd be nice to see!

Amy Acker might be a good choice. I'm having a hard time seeing past the meek Fred character, but her stint of godhood helped.

Even five years ago, Charisma would've been perfect. She's definitely got the big-city attitude down from playing Cordy. If they'd gone with an older Supes, she'd still be my choice. *sigh*

I have a hard time seeing either Russell or Portman as Lois, especially Portman (who is rather over-rated, IMO).

I've never seen the other three in action, so can't comment.

Charisma is too... build-up, IYKWIM...

Amy Acker had me convinced of her acting chops when she changed from Fred to Illirya in the middle of a sentence without the help of make-up! Her face, tone and posture changed completely!

Plus, in the comics Lois keeps making fun of Wonder Woman's double-d golden bra, and how they're not made in 'mere mortal' size...

You should see "The Professional"; Portman was just a kid but seriously ballsy in that flick. I think she could pull it off well.

Evangeline Lilly or Charisma would be cool, but definitely different in style. I think Charisma could play Wonder Woman to Portman's Lois; that would be fun.
