Casting a spell as a swift action

If I cast Assay Resistance (casting time: swift action) can I cast another spell in the same round ?

IIRC, Yes.

A swift action is the same as a free action, except for the fact that you may only take 1 swift action per round.

Yes, you can do that. That's the whole point.

A swift action is the new term for anything that works like a Quickened spell. You can only use one swift action per round, but other than that, it doesn't restrict what else you can do. You can still take a standard action (like casting a regular spell) plus a move action.
