Well, that was fun

4 out of 5 rating for Castle Ravenloft

For a non-D&D player, this game is probably quite the exciting experience. It's a cooperative game boardgame, it's plenty atmospheric, and has wonderful production values. For a D&D player, you might find the ruleset feels a bit too much like a super-simplified 4E ruleset; that feeling can make you want a bit more variety in terms of rules complexity and monsters. All-in-all, a fun game and possible a great "gateway" product for D&D, though not as good as WotC's Lords of Waterdeep.

5 out of 5 rating for Castle Ravenloft

Castle Ravenloft {the board game} is well designed and easily provides hours of entertainment. The feel of the castle is retained, as is the feel of playing a role-playing game while cutting everything down to an easy to learn board game.
