Castle Staff?

I third it. I was using it last week. Not for 3E, but it is indeed "rules lite" as far as "edition" or even system goes. If its a fantasy castle it is very useable.

Of course thsoe links are pretty darn good too. Added them to my "Castles" bookmark list.

Awesome, Pbar! Thanks!

No problem... I ran across it, oddly enough, when I was searching for info on Renaissance style, titles and customs for my last Star Wars game. There's so much useful information there for fantasy games in general, though, that I've used it a lot since then.

Did you see the linked map of a manor house? Wonderful!

That was one of my favorite bits. Thing I find amazing about that, is that there aren't really any hallways to speak of... You have to go through rooms to get to other rooms.

Thats actually pretty authentic to Midevil/Elizabethian archetecture, which is the reason why beds had curtains that could be pulled closed so that the person(s) inside could have a bit of privacy while who knows all walked by.

Yep... It was just something that I'd never really thought about, and really changed the way I looked at building design for D&D games.
