Castle Zagyg update -Gygax -TLG

Steve and I sat down with Gary this weekend to go over the Castle Zagyg project and what it will look like. Gary is very excited, but I don't think he knows how excited we are!!!

Here are the planned parts.


Castle Zagyg™ by Gary Gygax, Original Campaign, Dungeon and Adventure Modules

CZ I: Yggsburg: Campaign Setting for Castle Zagyg: This is the setting in which Castle Zagyg is placed. It is an expansive area with the city of Yggsburgh and the surrounding countryside. There areinnumerable adventures and adventure hooks in the setting that include city adventures of high political intrigue to explorations of nearby dungeons and other dangerous palces.

CZ II: Dark Chateau (working title) This part is by Rob Kuntz and Gary Gygax. For information go toRob Kunt's board here.

CZ III: Upper Ruins (no title)

CZ IV: Beneath the Ruins (working title)

CZ V: The Laboratories (no title)

CZ VI: The Deeps (working title)

CZ VII: The Caverns (working title)

CZ VIII: Zagyg's Way (working title)

I will ask Gary to come over and give an elaboration of each, if he has time.

Castle Zagyg will be written for the new Castles and Crusades rules.

I have a question.

If say book 3 is ready before book 2 will book 3 be published first? One of the authors of book 2 has in the very recent past had a bad track record for missing dates. I would hate to have to wait to see the complete project if a section or two is late.

I am sure Gary knows what to expect and has planned accordingly. In case he hasn't, don't hold up the whole line just because book 2 isn't finished.

Besides, I am also sure the Trolls can give Gary any needed assitance.

Gary has assured us Book II will be ready on time. Rob has assured us also and I am getting in touch with rob today to start laying out art ideas and map need so that we are ahead of the curve on this one. Gary and Rob work really well together so I have no worries. The second part is Dark Chateu and actually only coming in at 64 pages. So I need to see it. I also have a correction to make. I sat down with Gary to map out the whole series and asked himfor estimated lengths on everything. He told me to quit bothering him, they will come in at whatever length they comne in at Writers ???

Anyway, I should have a better handle on this sooner rather than later.
