yuh huh

This edition is a boile version of the regular rules book. So i had to take an extremely simple game and boil down the innermost core of that to get this. mostly i only put in 4 of the 13 classes, four races including the human, mac and cacey one lined all the spells, reduced equip etc.

this is the core of the core. it is utterly playable as is. after rereading it last night I though to myself "now that is what i wanted from the git go."

it is a nostalgia edition. we are basically doing it for the Castles and Crusades society members but opening it up to anyone.

I just want it to be clear. this is a nostalgia edition. a celebration if you will.

Its up now, on the webpage. You can go through our main page or go right to it here: http://trolllord.com/specials.htm

Davis is right. This is a celebration of the game.

Just to be clear this will not go through the normal channels of distribution. It will be available on our webpage, at Gencon and at select retailers. Interested retailers should email me at troll@trolllord.com.

Thanks folks,
Steve

This sounds very cool. I have a question:

How many levels of play does this set cover? The 1974 D&D set let you play as high a level as you wanted, while the 1977 and later D&D basic sets let you play only levels 1 to 3.

I've already ordered, so my money is secure with you, but here's a question anyway: are those dice opaque? I certainly hope so!
