Anyone have an idea as to when we can expect to see C&C in the stores? Is it still on track for a January release? My group and I are starting to get antsy and the TLG site isn't exactly a font of information.

I saw it at the local Hastings the other day, so it's definitely out all ready.

Its been floating through ditribution for about two weeks now and should be hitting the shelves this week. On friday we called two warehouses to check on ship dates and both said they were shipping monday so it should be on shelves 48-72 after ship.

FWIW I ordered a copy directly from Troll Lords about a week after it was released. Total time from placing the order to having a copy in my hand was a little over a week...

IIRC, they only charge an extra buck for priority shipping. That's the way to go. There's a C&C magazine, too - a lot like Dragon was when it started out. I haven't gotten it yet - I think they mail today.

I saw it was offered on the TLG site, and ordered it right then and there, but was dissapointed to see that Monsters and Treasure and Yggsburgh weren't available for pre-order.

It's kind of funny - I started playing D&D after the release of the PH but before the release of the DMG, a quarter century ago. Now I'm in exactly the same situation again.

There is a free pdf of monsters to download at the TLG site.

Of course, if you want beaucoup de monstres, you could always just use the 1E Monster Manual (just switch the ACs). Or the monsters in the SRD (just ignore the feats and skills).
