Of course, if you want beaucoup de monstres, you could always just use the 1E Monster Manual (just switch the ACs). Or the monsters in the SRD (just ignore the feats and skills).

Yep, that's what I'm doing. It's great that 1e converts to C&C so easily - the hardest part about converting monsters is determining whether or not they have mental or physical primes.

Hard to find

I called the three local stores (in Houston) that I frequent and all said they hadn't got it in. The last time I got that answer was on Friday. On Sunday, one of the stores was suddenly sold out.

So I ordered from Amazon. I don't use PayPal.

Unlike the OAD&D DMG, though, the C&C CKG will be purely optional -- not necessary to run the game at all.

I still want it now, though.

I thought that, but with rules like multiclassing, disease, and poison being in the CKG I think it's slightly more than optional. IMO of course.
