Castles & Crusades box set shipping to Europe?

Grayhawk

First Post
Did anyone here from Europe, or maybe even Scandinavia, get the Castles & Crusades box set?

If so, how much was the shipping?

Btw, are there any representatives here from Troll Lord Games? I wrote you a mail a couple of days ago asking about whether you have any more box sets left, but have yet to receive a reply...

My impression is that the folks at TLG are be pretty busy right now. But I'd be surprised if they didn't get back to you soon. And I would be shocked if they were not shipping to Europe (as some of the biggest supporters of C&C are in Britain).

I don't live in Europe, but I received my box set last week, and it is very cute! Definitely worth getting.

You may have better luck getting answers to your questions over at Dragonsfoot. They have a forum devoted to Castles and Crusades there.

See: http://www.dragonsfoot.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=37

Good luck! :)

I am in France, and they didn't seem to charge anything more for oversea shipping. Nonetheless, I am still waiting for the boxed set to be delivered (and I can't wait!)

I tried to order from their website but their Paypal-VISA-payment-thingy didn't work. I tried several times to no avail. I've also written to the Troll lords but have yet to receive a reply.

Maybe I'll get the PHB if it comes to a store in Sweden.

We are mailing to europe and asia (that was a surprise)....

I do not kow the costs as Steve usually handles that but I do know when I bring the packages to the PO i get wildly varying prices each time - but all shipments are going air-mail and that can take anywhere from 7-14 days.

I will apprise Steve of the situation and see if he can get something done about it.

And I will tell him to respond to emails!!! that is usually just an oversight - I am the one who never responds to emails :)

I've asked a friend who works at SF-bokhandeln to make sure they stock it. Perhaps it'll help if you contact them as well.

I've asked one of the shops I use here in Copenhagen, and they said they were planning on getting the hard covers when they come out, but they said the box set wasn't on the list of stuff they could order from TLG.

Btw, Davis, I still haven't received a reply to the mail I send you (TLG) about a week ago now, so maybe you could answer my question here instead:

Do you have any more box sets left? (Your site says someyhing about it being a 'Limited Edition')

How much do you charge for shipping to Denmark?

Thanks for your help!

It's been two weeks now, and still no reply from TLG :(

To those of you from Europe who already ordered, did you get your's? Was there any added tax on your end?

(There usually is, when ordering from the US. But I believe packets sometimes may pass through customs untaxed...)

And to all of you who got it, what do you think of it?

I got mine yesterday and immediately read all three booklets. I'm very happy with the system. One of the things I like best, is that it will now take me half the time it used to, to create a high level adventure ( level 10 + ) than it did with 3.X, which for me is a very good thing!

C&C may not be for everyone. I was in the market for a rules lite system, but didn't want to switch to something different, than the D&D that I know and love. Well, now I don't have to. C&C is every bit the game I have played for 20 years now, just better IMO.

I really like some of the things they have done, such as Rangers and Paladins that don't cast spells, as I like to keep warriors and spell casting separate in my game. However, if you do want your Ranger to cast spells, you always have the option to dual class to, let's say a Druid, and there you have it, a spell casting Ranger!

Keep in mind, that the box set is by no means the complete system. It gives you enough rules to start with, and no more.

I eagerly await the full system. :)
