Glad i have a mac (well i'm glad work has a mac), not sure if anything worked though.

A mac isn't going to filter out spyware. You need the right software (like Ad-Aware) to get rid of the junk that stuff leaves on your computer!

Ad Aware is a great program (it's free). A dummy email account's a good idea, although my Yahoo account filters spam really well.
