Does anyone know if the 5th edition expansions work with the 4th edition core set? I keep hearing not much changed gamewise but I can't confirm that.

I think we've got some 5e sets mixed into the set at home. (We've got 4? Complete sets all combined in one giant box - we build bigger/more islands & can play with up to 8 players) Some of the water is a different color, & the art on the tiles/cards is a bit different (most noticeably the brick)
