CB updating dragon articles

Sorry if this has been asked before, I think I read it before, but search function doesn't works for me.

A friend of mine wants to play a Shadar Kai on my next game, which starts at middle March. He wants to use the Spiked Chain racial feat published on february's Dragon.

He tried CB and it doesn't showed up on february update.

Dragon articles take one extra month to be published?

I believe Dragon material is added after the monthly compilation, possibly due in part to the fact that the compilations often have revisions to the material published earlier in the month (like the new Animate Dead power, for example.) So you wouldn't see it in the compendium until the next update.

I won't complain if CB was updated twice a month for that articles.

Right, so if you check the sources currently in the CB, you'll see it goes to Dragon 371 right now. Unfortunately for your player, the Shadar-Kai and Spiked Chain Training feats show up in Dragon 372. Next month will be a good month for your friend, however.

Hey, Animate Dead had a revision?! *checks article* Really? Don't see it...

The creature animated now attacks Reflex instead of AC, and specifically mentions it has the Undead keyword.

Note... the separate article file did not get the updates. You'll only see them in the compiled issue.

edit: Which is why, again, I don't think they add the Dragon bits until the full issue is compiled and released.

Fortunately, It's pretty easy to 'fake it' when it comes to spiked chain mastery (at least, until you get to 4th level).

I just gave my shadar-kai fighter SWP(spiked chain) and two daggers, and remember to double the d4s where appropriate.

Sir Brennen FTW! I had to search a bit for the compiled issue but now all of the article's summons attack Reflex! I love you WotC!

There's a few changes to other powers too - mostly wording and formatting.

Did anyone notice that the feat in the Shadar-Kai power that allows arcane characters to make opportunity attacks with one of their at-wills did not get "shadar-kai" added as a prerequisite. If its not updated in next month's CB, that's going to be a great feat for general arcanists.
