Terror from the Underdeep- A Giant Box of 5E Adventure.png

Terror from the Underdeep: A Giant Box of 5E Adventure from Goodman Games
  • END DATE: Feb 11, 2025 at 4:00am EST.
  • CROWDFUNDING ON: Backerkit
  • SYSTEM(S): Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition
  • PROJECT TYPE: Adventure
  • MOST POPULAR PLEDGE: $121 + S/H for the PDF and print versions of the book and 6 more books
  • WHY SPOTLIGHT THIS CAMPAIGN? This is a boxed set adventure that converts a well-known DCC campaign to 5e. Covering levels 8 to 16, you’ll get adventures, traps, monsters, and new rules that use a modified ruleset which adds the d24 to 5E. Like most of Goodman Games’ crowdfunding projects, Terror from the Underdeep: A Giant Box of 5E Adventure is an understatement; “Giant Box” does not begin to cover what you can get with your pledge. This campaign offers quite a few books including the 450-page Terror from the UnderDeep, 2-Page UnderDelves, Advanced Advantage 5E: Playtest Pack #1, FEF #31: Idylls of the Rat King, FEF #32: The Lost Vault of Tsathzar Rho, FEF #32: The Lost Vault of Tsathzar Rho, FEF #33: Sailors on the Starless Sea, FEF #33: Sailors on the Starless Sea, and FEF #34: The Red Dragon's Treasure Map. All of that plus a box, maps, tokens, miniatures, dice, and more. If you want a massive higher level 5e campaign, check out the Backerkit page to get a free PDF preview.
White Box- Cyclopedia.png

White Box: Cyclopedia from Barrel Rider Games and Gallant Knight Games
  • END DATE: Fri, February 7 2025 11:51 AM EST.
  • SYSTEM(S): Swords & Wizardry White Box ruleset
  • PROJECT TYPE: Core rule boxed set
  • MOST POPULAR PLEDGE: $30 for the PDF version of the book and a POD coupon for the book
  • WHY SPOTLIGHT THIS CAMPAIGN? This project takes the contents of the Swords & Wizardry White Box plus additional rule options and combines them into a single book of rules and possibilities. James M. Spahn (White Box Omnibus, White Box Compendium, White Star, White Box Science Fiction Roleplaying, and so much more) works with Gallant Knight Games to bring all of the Original D&D rules to a single book, one built from the core boxed set and 200 pages worth of options. The guiding idea is what if “Dave and Gary had remained friends and partners”? That means 30 classes, 12 heritages, nearly 200 monsters, spells, chivalry, strongholds, and more such as Matt Finch of Mythmere Games and author of OSRIC and Swords & Wizardry Complete providing a preface for the book. If you’re a fan of OSRs, this gives you a single resource covering a variety of OD&D-style options.

Vigilante City for 5e - Street Level Superhero TTRPG.png

Vigilante City for 5e - Street Level Superhero TTRPG from Bloat Games
  • END DATE: Fri, January 31 2025 10:00 PM EST.
  • SYSTEM(S): Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition
  • PROJECT TYPE: Core rulebooks
  • MOST POPULAR PLEDGE: $29 for the PDF of the books
  • DISCLAIMER: I have freelanced for Bloat Games on a project related to Vigilante City. I am not involved in this project
  • WHY SPOTLIGHT THIS CAMPAIGN? This project brings Bloat Games’ love letter to the 1990s superhero animated series to 5e. Designed to give the feel of cartoons series like Batman: The Animated Series, X-Men, Spider-Man, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, this project offers two books: Vigilante City: Core Rules and Vigilante City: Game Master's Guide. Updated from earlier systems, this edition of Vigilante City gives you the 5e ruleset you’ll need for a modern environment where over-the-top crime and superpowers are an everyday concern. If you want 5e superheroes at your gaming table, this project may be right for you.

Era- Sharkninja - A Tabletop RPG of Mutants & Robots.png

Era: Sharkninja - A Tabletop RPG of Mutants & Robots from Shades of Vengeance
  • END DATE: Sun, February 9 2025 4:00 PM EST.
  • SYSTEM(S): Era D10 System
  • PROJECT TYPE: Core rulebook
  • MOST POPULAR PLEDGE: £15 + S/H for the PDF and print versions of the book
  • WHY SPOTLIGHT THIS CAMPAIGN? Keeping with the TMNT vibe, let’s look at Era: Sharkninja, a game inspired by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Street Sharks, and Dishonoured. This game is about sharkninjas fighting against aliens to free humanity because, and I quote, “Humans taste better when they are free range!” That’s right, no matter who wins, humans are the losers in this scenario. But, you don’t play a human, you play as a sharkninja that’s ready to do what they must to improve the quality of their next meal. If you have not tried any Era D10 System projects before, put that thought aside and embrace the zaniness that is hungry sharkfighter heroes, sort of a vampire superhero project only with many more teeth and martial arts.

Oh I didn't realize that the Monster Vault 2 focused on demons and the undead. Not my favorite subjects. Will have to think about it now.

it doesn't as far as I can tell. Not sure where that is from, other than misunderstanding the line "More than 300 all-new monsters, including dangerous demons and horrifying new undead."

Here is the list of demons for example, hardly the focus...

Yep, with all due respect to the esteemed Egg, Monster Vault 2 is not focused on demons and the undead. There certainly are those types of creatures in the book of course, but MV2 has more than 300 new creatures that run the full gamut of monster types you would expect.

It also has very cool sections on unique new things like 'monster escalations' and 'monster bundles'

If you liked the first Monster Vault, you will absolutely LOVE Monster Vault 2!!
