Maybe Hasbro should try selling their idea for a D&D live action TV show to a Canadian network like the CBC, CTV/ CTV Sci Fi, Global, or CityTV.

That might have been a great move for TSR, with their proximity to the Great White North (in Wis-can-sin). And back in the 80/90s, there seemed to be some very successful movement from Canadian comedy into American comedy, so why not fantasy?

I can't picture today's Hasbro trying that, though.

Sounds like the podcast's Elric burned down his neighbor's barn with sorcery, and then the townsfolk kicked him out? That's too bad - they could have trained him for defense against all those dragonborn and tieflings running around out there! And orcs. And owlbears. Mimics. Chris Pines...

Might have been a good move for pre-Hasbro WotC too; they're even closer to us hosers, being just down in suburban Seattle.
