D&D 5E CB's Stonefast IC -- COMPLETE

"Hmm. I can't make head or tails of it," he says, offering the rope to anyone who wants to look at it. As he passes it over, though, a loop get stuck around the mace dangling from his hip.

"You know, this this is terribly awkward," he says. "I don't suppose anyone has a dagger that I could have instead? Maybe on one of these bodies we've found? I thin it would be much more convenient for me."

He smiles big, like a child asking for candy, though the effect is incongruous with his bushy moustache.

OOC: My hope is to replace the default cleric-weapon with a dagger, the only simple finesse weapon, though it wasn't part of the starting Cleric package. If we're levelling up, I think it's time for Spec to become a bit more efficient at melee. I don't know if the kobolds had daggers?

"Bully!" says Spec enthusiastically, as he takes the knife from Colden. "That's just the ticket. Just the ticket."

Spec undoes his belt and attaches the small scabbard to his hip, and as he does so he removes the mace and the crossbow from his back, and places them both in the bag of holding (with a cover on the bolt case, and then he re-does his belt).

"Thank you," he says sincerely. "I feel like a new man."

OOC: Where to, guys? Choices include: long rest, short rest, the new eastbound tunnel in the ceiling, back the way you came, or to the south down the latest corridor where the orc fled. Or, you know, other things I haven't dreamt up but that creative players like yourselves like to chuck my way. ;P

We can check the tunnel. A dwarf and a man can crawl in there but it will be impossible to combat if something will come through.
We can follow the Orc that ran as well but they will wait for us, probably preparing an ambush.
I say the tunnel.

Roscoe says from above - he is in the opening of the ceiling

OOC: If we have to take a long rest in order to facilitate getting everything out of our leveling, that's my option.

"Perhaps we should rest first? I feel the oncoming of a smattering of knowledge." Fulgrim offered.

Guran agrees, and says, "I heartily concur that a slight respite would be grand! Let us repair back to the ossuary and there take our ease this hour."

OOC: No, he doesn't say that! I must be thinking of somebody else!

Guran actually says, "Let's go back to the room with all the skulls. We could defend that from all but mice, right?"

OOC: Please forgive the extraneous usage of words above. I was a bit dizzy from lack of sleep. I was up quite late last night concocting a way to include thereupon, amassing, margin, lunge, bumpkin, dudgeon, dregs, and ill within two paragraphs, and still have it make some sort of sense. However, the result I ended up with kept shifting between Amphibrach and Anapestic, so it may require quite a bit more work yet.

With Roscoe in the lead, the group headed to the bone room and settled in for a long rest. The room continued to smell heavily of chalk, though some of the scent had dissipated with the door's having been left open. Once everyone was inside and the door was closed, individuals took turns resting, studying, taking watch, and examining items as was their pleasure.

OOC: This is the default watch order specified from your last long rest: Spec, Guran, Colden, Roscoe, Fulgrim. I'll call on you one at a time to state what actions your character takes during his long rest. You're up first, Kobold Stew.
