D&D 5E CB's Stonefast IC -- COMPLETE

Spec, having stretched and feeling renewed, agrees and follows Roscoe.

OOC: So Guran has the ring, but it's not attuned - is that right?
Who wants the Rope? Speak up! Who can use it? Spec certainly can (anyone else?), but it wouldn't be attuned until a short rest has passed (I think).

OOC: Fulgrim has the ring at the moment. We just took a long rest. Two of you would've ID'd the ring and the rope, and can share that info with the group. Two of you also can have attuned those items during your long rest. In the interest of expediency, I'd like to get these two items assigned to bearers (would that mean one of you becomes a ringbearer?!) and move the story along.

OOC: The ring requires CON 13 for attunement. Starting CON scores for the party were (alpha. by first name): Colden CON 16, Fulgrim CON 16, Guran CON 14, Roscoe CON 14, Spec CON 10. From that, it looks as though anyone but Spec can attune to that "Rare" item.

In the normal course of things, the Halfling could be our Ringbearer, for what could be more fitting than a wilderness-ranging Barbarian who is gaunt and wiry from having spent hard time in lands where game is scarce, drawing on his physical reserves as he goes? A elf might come close if we had one in the party, at least in the Tolkien sense, because that ring's effects seem similar to the effects of his lembas bread.

Fulgrim adjusted his armor and settled his backpack across his shoulders. "Aye, let's get moving." Examining his map, he said, "We still have quite a bit of area left uncovered. I'm thinking south. Going up in those tunnels with the kobolds sounds like a death wish."

"That's us for adventure, then!" Guran agrees brightly. "Which way? South into the mouth of the danger, did you say?"

"Whither 'midst foes and falling trapdoors pursue we all our unitary way?" he appends unnecessarily.

The group trekked south, down the darkened corridor through which the last orc had fled. The corridor turned in a sharp angle toward the east. At the end of the new hallway was an open archway. Through the archway lay a room that was remarkably bare. Unlike the rest of the rooms the group had explored thus far, there was neither mud, trash, nor broken furniture. A locked oak door with iron fittings barred the way to the east.

OOC: Spec has the Rope of Arachnea and has (if he wishes) attuned to it. Roscoe bears the Ring of Satiety has similarly has (if he wishes) attuned to it. Someone announce whether you are using a light source and what it is, please. Guran and Spec have used Spec's thieves' tools to work together in the past to aid one another to again advantage with locks, and may do so here, if you wish.

"Yeah, I am certainly not built to be crawling through small passageways." Colden states. "South suits me, I am itching for some more payback after that ambush."

OOC: Fulgrim would have taken the opportunity to cast Alarm as a ritual just prior to departing the area where we camped (Let's say the center of the effect is the T-intersection to the west of the ossuary), if the party is willing to wait 10 minutes. That would both protect us and charge up the Arcane Ward

Fulgrim watched the rear as the Guran and Spec worked on the door.
