D&D 5E CB's Stonefast IC -- COMPLETE

Guran squeezes past Fulgrim and stands one square to the west of the 15' corridor, leaving the square east of the corridor for Colden. This way, if something comes at the party from the west along the most recent hallway (just south of the pit trap), Guran will be able to react first.

OOC: Argh! A 15' foot long corridor, from the north wall of one hallway to the south wall of another hallway: that's 5 feet of width for each hallway, leaving 5 feet of width for the whole room on that side. I must be mis-imagining it. I'll wait for FF to re-map again.

Updated Map: tuxgeo indicated he wanted Guran positioned to the west of the T-intersection, but CanadienneBacon already put Roscoe there, so I put Guran in the middle of the T for now. Kobold Stew indicated that Father Spec had pushed forward, so I put him in front of the door, with Flugrim behind him. Colden is covering our six for now. Feel free to let me know if you want people shuffled around.

OOC: Thanks for the map! Yes, I was greatly mis-imagining it: I was supposing the existence of another hallway beyond the room, though that was apparently never stated. Guran's indicated position is fine by me.

OOC: The map looks correct as to Roscoe's placement, thank you. Not only did he jump the pit first, but he also spoke up for that square prior to Guran.

Spec peers through the broken down door into the interior of the room. The room was dark, and Roscoe, who had the light, was 15' distant and partially around a corner, making it harder for Spec to see. The room's southwestern corner looked to be covered thickly in layer upon layer of spider webs, some of the threads of which have the diameter of linen string. A pile of rubble is strewn against the north wall.

Oh... I have the light...I'm coming.
Roscoe says and joins the others to the room
We need to catch on of the kobolds alive and interrogate him about the beast that attacked the elders of the tribe.

Roscoe brings the light. When he does, Spec's observant eyes spot something large, dark, and hairy twitch within the webbing. Roscoe sees nothing.

OOC: Looks like the square you initially wanted to occupy is now free, tuxgeo. Have at it. Forged Fury, Roscoe's movement forward would push Fulgrim back to the intersection of the hallway and the corridor (where Guran was standing a moment ago).

"Webs burn, right?" asks Father Spec of no one in particular. He calls down sacred flame into the room, targeting the creature, but also mildly curious if "flame-like radiance" will ignite the webs.

OOC: DC 13 Dex save or [roll0] radiant damage.

Guran shifts into the space Roscoe just vacated in order to make room for Fulgrim.

"Webs?" he asks unnecessarily. "What webs? I don't see any webs."

OOC: Basic Rules pp 75, "Radiant damage, dealt by a cleric’s flame strike spell or an angel’s smiting weapon, sears the flesh like fire and overloads the spirit with power." I think it's borderline--but tilting toward yes--whether flame strike burns webs. You could probably make a case why it shouldn't work, but, really, you're just delaying the inevitable in a party loaded down with torches.

Spec calls down holy radiant fire upon the webs, which begin to burn away, revealing a hoary black giant spider with slavering fangs. The spider unfurls itself from a ball and springs forward, latching on to the southern wall of the room, and nimbly dodging Spec's spell. The creature moves with alacrity, ill intent visible in its cluster eyes.

OOC: Roll initiative and include a stated action for Round 1. No one is surprised. If you haven't updated your RG sheet to accurately reflect resources (abilities, spells, and hp), please do so now.

Initiative:
Party --
Giant Spider 23

OOC: I tossed a Current Stat Block at the bottom of my char sheet, I think it has everything important in it.

Initiative: [roll0]

Fulgrim heard the sound of fire igniting in the room followed by a gasp of horror, or possibly interest, from Father Spec. "What's going on down there?" he asked. Prepared to move in to support his companions.

OOC: Action: Ready to move into the room if Roscoe or Spec move into the room.
