D&D 5E CB's Stonefast IC -- COMPLETE

OOC: Woot! CRIT! OK, please maximize whatever and add whatever as needed.

Edit to add:
OOC: "Careful with that axe, Eugene" -- or would it be "Gurene?"
Dang. It has been decades since I last played my 33-1/3 Long Playing record of "Ummagumma." Could I even find that record in all this clutter? Is the disc bent by now in the stacks? Do I even have a turntable to play LPs on? I think it was the 1970s. I no longer have a turntable. I'm feeling old now.

Round 3

Guran turned around and flicked his remaining handaxe at Orc 1. The blade sank to the haft between Orc 1's eyes, dealing a total of 18 points of damage. The force of the axe to the head knocked Orc 1 prone backward five feet. The creature made no move to get up.

The spider--oblivious to its flank--failed to dodge Spec's sacred flames. The holy fire burned several horse-apple sized holes in the spider's hirsute body, dealing 6 radiant damage. The spider, who by this point had suffered multiple strikes, was looking worse for the wear. Green ichor seeped from wounds on its undercarriage, coating the floor.

Down the hall to the west, a kobold was lowered head first from the hole, its head pointing down. The creature cackled with glee at its fun game, then fired a light crossbow at Colden, but missed. Someone or something inside the hole must have been acting in concert with the kobold, because the wee beastie began to be raised by the feet back up inside the hole. The kobold disappeared from view.

Inside Room 17, the giant spider made a queer hissing sound and lunged at Roscoe, biting at the halfing. The spider's fangs sank into Roscoe's shoulder, dealing 8 points of damage. The pint-size barbarian felt venom being pumped into his veins, but Roscoe shrugged off the worst of it, taking only an additional 3 points of poison damage.

OOC: In addition to the damage it dealt from its bite, the giant spider rolled 12 points of poison damage. After Roscoe's Constitution saving throw with advantage (thanks to being a Stout Halfling), and poison resistance (again, Stout Halfling), he took 3 points of poison damage. Next up to bat is Forged Fury.

Fulgrim switched his grip on his hammer, holding it in one hand. Calling on magical flame, he readied to cast a flame bolt at the orc as soon as it showed its ugly face.

OOC: Action: Ready Action (Cast Flame Bolt at Orc 2), uses Reaction. [roll0], Damage - [roll1]

Roscoe shouts in anger and looks straight into the many eyes of the spider than sinks his sword deep into the spider's head.

Reckless attack (1d20+4, 1d20+4, 1d6+3=[20, 4], [20, 4], [1, 3]) - A critical hit (with both dice) - damage - 6
Critical damage (1d6=2) - critical hit.

When the spider falls Roscoe jumps on the hairy large beast and continue to punch it using the back of the blade while shouting "Don't mess with a drunken Halfling!", looking at Spec he says He wanted my beer

Roscoe drove a mighty blow into the clustered eyes of the giant spider. The creature fell in a heap to the stone floor, dead, ichor continuing to flow from its several wounds. Unsatisfied at the spider's death knell, the Halfling leapt atop the trophy and commenced pummeling it with his bare fists.

OOC: Colden's up, Skarsgard!

Colden hisses, "we have kobolds back here" and moves to the edge of the hole throwing a handaxe through the opening.

[sblock=mechanics]

Move action to get to K29, drawing handaxe.

Colden darted forward to K29 and threw a handaxe through the hole in the ceiling. A quick yowl of pain was followed soon after by a small be-winged kobold body hurtling through the hole to the floor.

Orc 2 stepped into the intersection, triggering an attack from Fulgrim that missed. Orc 2 threw a javelin and Fulgrim and scored a hit for 9 points of damage. Fulgrim's arcane ward rippled as it absorbed a further 7 points from the javelin damage, leaving Fulgrim to soak up 2 points of actual damage to his person. Orc 2 quickly darted back around the corner, out of sight.

OOC: Guran's up, tuxgeo! Also, Forged Fury, I want to make sure we're talking about the same spell that Fulgrim's been casting. You're telling me he casts flame bolt, but there isn't a spell by that name in the PHB (or maybe this is a pun from way back when Fulgrim mangled the cantrip name earlier in the thread? If so, fun!). I've assumed you meant fire bolt, the cantrip. Let me know.

"Right. Our source of light is jumping up and down for some reason. Here, let me light a torch."

Guran is boxed in by allies on either side, and he sees no target to attack, so he stays where he is and takes a fresh torch out of his backpack and lights it, illuminating the hallway more steadily.
