CE vs. N (FFA): Very Young Howling Dragon vs. Thunder Worm

Being immune to Fort saves doesn't make you immune to a Fort save? How annoying.

I do not understand what you mean by that. The undead creatures never had to make Fort saves.

I take it that Haaldisath is playing for the draw. Rassafrassin' burrowers. In that case, a draw is declared after round 745. Chaotic Evil cheers that they will not have to keep exploding.

First in round 746 for Chaotic Evil is a young chaos dragon (Draconomicon).

It has 8 ranks in Knowledge (local), and 14 ranks in Intimidate, Knowledge (arcana, nature), Listen, Search, Sense Motive, and Spot.

It has the feats Alertness, Improved Natural Armor, Lightning Reflexes, Weapon Focus (claw), and Wingover.

Wasn't a Fort save required for either the presence or the ray attack, or did those two just blend together on Lady Deathstrike? Also, out of curiousity can nothing hurt the tiger?

Horseshack flies into the arena to 40n4010z (yes, in the darkness -- entering from the north to obtain the minimum distance required) and readies to breathe confusion on any opponent coming within range.

Lady Deathstrike was a hag, not undead. The tiger was incorporeal with good saves, nothing more.

I know, but she got hit by a ray and failed her Fort save. Was the Fort save for the ray? If so, wouldn't an undead be immune to both ray and whateverthehellthatburningbrightlycrapwas?

I wasn't sure about its incorporeality. It seemed more like it was merely ignoring all attacks. Where's a frostfell ghost when you need one? ;)

She failed her fort save for having too much positive energy in herself. Undead creatures take damage from positive energy, just as living creatures are healed by it. What you really needed was a construct.

Round 746

A 40-foot high column of air zips into the arena really fast to 35N50E, ignores the gas (natural 20 Will save), and misses Horseshack (natural 1).

Horseshack can breathe again in round 749.

Horseshack is not thrilled about meeting his opponent and decides to 5ft-fly down to 40n45e5z, full attack the elemental, and then fall 5ft (provoking an AoO likely).

Round 747

The elemental smacks Horseshack hard on his approach (rolled 29-6=23) for 22-5=17 points of damage. Horseshack bites back (natural 20) for no damage (DR 10 or greater).

The elemental uses Horseshack as a punching bag, hovering up 5 feet and hitting twice, even harder than the first time (worst roll 37+1-12=26; hitting once due to Blind-Fight) for a total of 56-10=46 points of damage. Horseshack has 51 HP remaining.

There was a minor revision in my last edit (sorry about that -- I must have failed my save against the breath weapon).

Horseshack will keep attacking (while possible) until round 749, at which point he breathes a random line of energy.

Horseshack missed with his other attacks (best roll 25-1=24 for AM)

Round 748

Horseshack only hits with bite (rolled 30), but inflicts no damage.

The elemental again pounds Horseshack twice, for a total of 42-10=32 points of damage. Horseshack has 19 HP remaining. The elemental hovers up to 40N45E10Z.

Round 749

The elemental dodges the acid blast (Ref save 41), but still takes 9 points of acid damage. It has 195 HP remaining.

The elemental only hits once, pummeling for 24-10=14 points of damage. Horseshack has 5 HP remaining, and can breathe next round.
