Central Mass. Gameday, Saturday, October 22nd, Success

News, News, News

The bad news, as of this moment my street is under 4 feet of water.

The good news, I live on the 3rd floor.

(Unfortunately, I am not joking)

I am hopeful that the water will recede by next week.

I will post here any developements.

Crap! Well, regardless of the game day, I hope you stay safe and dry!

Yeah! Safety first and all that. The weather reports indicate that the worst of the storm is past. (We got 2 inches here in CT.) It may rain a little bit over the next week, but hopefully it stops and drains away from around your house.

Thank you.

The water is gone now, we did not lose power or heat (gas :uhoh: ).

Does anyone know the best way of starting a car after it has been submerged in water? :heh:

It was a strange drive to work this morning. My place is Providence is surrounded by huge puddles, and the roads are awful, with many areas completely covered with water. Both 290 and 95 were really bad, but it seemed to clear up quite a bit when I hit 495, and up here in Stow it really is pretty good! Amazing how much a difference of a few dozen miles makes.

Best of luck, Mav. I hope everything works out for you, regardless of the fate of our Game Day. :)

Posted at the same time I did. :heh:

Here's some good advice online. Most cars that have the engine submerged are lost, I think. :(

Yeah, this is a comprehensive claim against your auto policy. Chances are good the vehicle is a total loss. Call your auto carrier now so you get in line for an appraiser because you're not going to be alone. Do you have rental? Line that up this morning too. Good luck!

Glad to hear the water receded too.

Called my insurance agent at 7am (One of the advantages of my mother selling insurance.)

We have $30/day rental cost coverage. We will need to arrange an appraisal.

Thank you

I am not able to E-mail Yttrai, msd, Allen, or Lisa to give them directions.

I do not know where Warehouse23 or MabGod are coming from so I can't give them directions.

To answer these questions (or anyone else who did not get directions) please E-mail me at Mav_Weirdo [at] hotmail (dot) com
