Does Certain Justice, Champion of Order Attack 11, have errata somewhere? I'm guessing it's missing the text "until the end of your next turn."

It doesn't need one.

If the target is marked, it is also weakened
and dazed by this attack for as long as the mark
remains in effect.
As long as the target is marked, it is weakened and dazed. The duration is the duration of the mark.

My problem with that is, it's sickeningly powerful for an encounter power of any level. Encounter powers don't do stuff like that. Even daily powers don't do stuff like that, unless a save ends it.

That's why I'm guessing it's missing duration text until end of your next turn.

See, now why couldn't you give your reasoning in the first place and save us some time? :)

The only reason this is powerful is because of Divine Challenge. All other marking abilities last until the end of the next turn. Divine Challenge keeps going, and going, and going...

I'm guessing when they made the PP, Divine Challenge was akin to Combat Challenge, where it refreshed every turn. Then they probably changed Divine Challenge without considering the consequences (as they did too frequently in 4e...).

So yes, it should (probably) have "(save ends)" or "until the end of your next turn" appended to it. I suggest you send it in to CustServ so it might get added to the next list of errata.

It seems that people is already tinkering ways to combine this prayer with Swordmage Aegis since:

-It's also indefinite (when it comes to duration);

-It's even less restrictive than Divine Challenge (no need to engage the target).

With the Weakness provided by Certain Justice and the damage mitigation provided by Aegis of Shielding we're pretty much talking about very few points of damage taken, if any at all.

So their answer:

The power is correct as written. As long as the paladin maintains the mark, that target will be weakened and dazed.

Good gaming!

Yeah ok, this should make solo encounters fun. :hmm:

Houseruling it.

Hit: 1[W] damage. If the target is marked, it is also weakened and dazed until the end of your next turn, as long as the mark remains in effect.

It's not very hard to get rid of a paladin's mark momentarily, especially at paragon+ levels, unless you're alone and don't have any tricks up your sleeve.
