Chadranther's Bane in 3.5

It ran wonderfully when I ran it in 2e, and I can't imagine that it needs a lot of conversion. The biggest changes would be tweaking monster changes (such as the weasel and the fish) and coming up with a good class combination for Chadranther himself (arcane filcher?) You will also want to set some DCs for moving the bane itself, and think about how tools and pulleys can help with such things.

My players talk about that adventure to this day.

Ah, how I fondly recall that adventure. I so wish that I hadn't thrown out all my old Dungeons back in high school. :(

(I could also wish that they were doing a Dungeon CD archive, like they did with Dragon, but I'm given to understand that it was such a monumental undertaking that there's no way of them doing it again.) :(:(

I wonder if it could be outsourced? Perhaps a community effort to scan, correct, and assemble each issue? There's far fewer Dungeon issues than there are Dragon issues.

They don't want to. It would crush sales for the current magazine and WotC's adventure line, and contacting authors would be a logistical nightmare. It's unclear if they'd have to pay additional residuals to authors. This won't ever happen, unfortunately.

I'd also come to the conclusion that it should be fairly straightforward (if a bit time-consuming) to convert, that's why I was hoping somebody else here might have already done so! :)

I might post my conversions here when I've done it.

Auggh! Oh, Ari, that so sucks.

I did a number of stupid things when I was a teenager. I suppose the fact that this actually rates the list (even if it's nowhere near the top) means I could've been a lot worse, but I still deeply regret it. :\
