Chameleon PrC & Psionic Focus?

So, has anybody considered this? It makes sense to me that psionics should be an additional selection for the Chameleon's Aptitude Focus.

I was thinking about a power level (powers known, power points per day, etc.) somewhere between fist of Zuoken & psychic warrior; maybe max'ing out at 10th level with 15 powers or so (up to 6th level) & around 100 power points.

The skill & save bonuses could be on Knowledge (psionics) & Psicraft, & on Will saves.

Any good?

(BTW, as usual, I can't Search, so links to existing threads will be much appreciated.)

At a guess, this is going to be too good. Note that the chameleon doesn't get to replicate the spontaeneous abilities of a sorceror - why? Because he'd be far too flexible. Each day he'd pick a full compliment of spells, and then cast spontaeneously from those. He'd be the best of both wizard and sorceror worlds.

Since psionicists are limited to a small number of powers, this clearly won't work properly.

I'd suggest you're better off assigning spell levels to psi powers and adding it as a list to choose from - or just picking silent and still spell for your chameleon and using spells which approximate psionics to a sufficient degree.

Unless the chameleon had to pick her sorcerer spells when leveling in the PrC, & couldn't change them.

Although I didn't indicate it, I was thinking that the character would have to pick her powers when she levels up, & not be able to change them, & be able to pick only from the psion/wilder list (no discipline-specific, psychic warrior or prestige class powers), with the exception of the Expanded Knowledge feat.

That any better?

Or, this ability could mimic the erudite's psionic abilities. While I don't have the Dragon handy, this could be more of a limiter; I'd have to look the article over.
