good ideas, you've come to the wrong place...
But, seriously, what did you have in mind?
There are some feats out there that let a character use up a turn attempt for the day and have something else happen (such as bonus to saves, bonus to AC, bonus to damage, etc. depending on the feat chosen).
There are some prestige classes (specifically the ones that hunt undead) that allow you to give up a turn attempt (or two?) to do some kind of positive energy burst for area damage... though, that may be against undead only, can't recall for certain right now
A friend of mine likes to exploit the connection between positive energy (used for turning ) and that these are the same clerics that can spontaneously cast cure spells (thus presuming a connection between the two abilities)... so, he does something like a turn check is made and the result is used for cure points (i.e. half the turn check or something.. I don't remember all the details right now but it's something like that).
