Today Chaosium announced that Studio Agate will take over the development and creation of the legendary role-playing game 7th Sea, marking the beginning of a new era for the iconic game originally envisioned by John Wick.
Rick Meints, President of Chaosium, said: "Studio Agate has been delivering exceptional work on the French version of 7th Sea since 2017 and last year successfully launched the first official 7th Sea campaign for the English language market. Chaosium and Studio Agate are committed to ensuring that the future of 7th Sea is shaped not only by its creators but also by the passionate community that has brought the world of Théah to life.
To this end, Studio Agate is launching a community survey, inviting fans to share their thoughts, ideas, and feedback, as a new Kickstarter campaign for the next chapter of the game line is currently in preparation. This initiative will help guide the development of the game line and ensure that future projects align with the expectations of the players who know and love 7th Sea.

In addition, Studio Agate is excited to announce the launch of a Patreon page dedicated to the development of 7th Sea. This Patreon will serve as a "developer diary", where the community can follow updates, behind-the-scenes insights, and progress on upcoming projects. Access to this platform will be by default completely free for all fans. Those who wish to support the project with a donation will be able to do so and will see their name included in every forthcoming book.
This is also where the results of the current community survey will be shared, and where future surveys will be posted to gather even more feedback and ideas from fans. Studio Agate is committed to making this platform a central hub for transparent communication and collaboration with the 7th Sea community.
