Our wonderful community ambassador Bridgett Jeffries is interviewing GMs from our Cult of Chaos gamemaster program and creators for our community content programs at DriveThruRPG!
  • Cult of Chaos members are invited to tell us about themselves, discuss and promote their content, provide insight to running amazing games for the Cult of Chaos at conventions, events, and FLGSs all over the planet!
  • Community content creators are invited to tell us about themselves, discuss and promote their content, and talk about new projects they have in the works or in planning!
The first two interviews are Cult of Chaos Keeper Alex Sun (above right) and Miskatonic Repository creator Jade Griffin (above left).

As a piece of advice to give a novice GM, Alex says, "Just jump in. The hardest part is the first step. Once a novice GM joins [the Cult of Chaos], they will find that the community is very friendly and willing to offer help or advice."

Jade says a friend told her about the Storytelling Collective’s Write Your First Adventure workshop and she tried that out: "Worked beautifully, so I go back and either retake the course or review the learning material each time I do an adventure. They even have a course for solo adventures."

You can read the full interviews in the Community Corner Interview Thread at BRP Central.

Our community manager Bridgett Jeffries is interviewing GMs from our Cult of Chaos gamemaster program and creators for our community content programs at DriveThruRPG - the Miskatonic Repository (Call of Cthulhu), Jonstown Compendium (RuneQuest-Glorantha), and Companions of Arthur (Pendrago

The latest interview is independent Call of Cthulhu creator Rina Haenze, who currently has nine scenarios on the Miskatonic Repository.

Rina says they love to tell stories that call back to cultural aspects they love: "My scenario Saturday the 14th, for example, is a love letter to 80s slasher films. Or Click Clack, which brings in Penny Dreadfuls but also classic monsters like mummies and vampires. But most of all, I love telling stories that find the humanity in the midst of cosmic insignificance and seeing what happens when that humanity is tested."

The latest interview is Cult of Chaos GM RQStaffan, who says "in a normal year I manage to fit in four-five conventions, although this year (2025) am looking to top out at six".

RQStaffan says his passion is to spread the word of how wonderful the people in our community are, and give them the power to spring to ever greater achievements. Also ducks!

The latest interview is a group interview with the team behind the Miskatonic Playhouse, who produce actual plays of community content from the Miskatonic Repository"We decided that we would promote and celebrate the community content of the Miskatonic Repository and we would do these evil deeds under the guise of a theatre . . . T A Newman named us the Miskatonic Playhouse, and from here on out our purpose was clear."

Our community manager Bridgett Jeffries is interviewing GMs from our Cult of Chaos gamemaster program and creators for our community content programs at DriveThruRPG - the Miskatonic Repository (Call of Cthulhu), Jonstown Compendium (RuneQuest-Glorantha), and Companions of Arthur (Pendragon)!

The latest interview is independent RuneQuest creator Diana Probst. Diana started writing for the Jonstown Compendium with a creative group called Beer with Teeth, releasing a range of well-received titles. She has also now written for the official Chaosium RuneQuest release The Pegasus Plateau!

Bridgett asked Diana what one piece of advice she’d offer to a novice creator, looking to get involved in Chaosium’s Community Content program?

Her reply? – "Do something small... That’s actually, sneakily, two bits of advice. If you do something small you get to practice all the pieces you need for making something bigger, and you won’t get blocked so easily on the way. It’s got the other piece embedded in it though, and that is ‘do something’. If you don’t write your thing and publish it, nobody else will ever get to decide if they want it. Don’t pre-judge yourself and your work and assume anything about it - put it out there, and let people decide... Do something (small)."

You can read Diana's full interview, and the previous interviews, over at our forums at BRP Central here.

The latest interview is independent RuneQuest creator Brian Duguid. Several years ago Brian returned to writing for role-playing games (and running and playing them) after nearly a three-decade break. Brian says, "Coming back to writing for RPGs really unlocked something in me again - a creativity I’d been missing, and also the chance to reconnect with the tribe!"

He's now published four well-regarded titles on the Jonstown Compendium, including An Unofficial Buyer’s Guide to RuneQuest and Glorantha ("I started this because I kept finding out about more things I didn’t know existed - and I thought others should maybe know about it too!")
