Chaosium Con Australia is fast approaching! Get your badge now for a weekend that promises to be mythic, epic, heroic and horrific. Join us on June 8-9 at the Moonee Valley Racing Club in Melbourne – we have over 100 events scheduled.

In addition to our International Guests of Honour, Mike Mason, Andrew Logan Montgomery, and Bridgett Jeffries, Chaosium Con Australia is pleased to announce our local Guests of Honour, Kat Clay, R.J. Ivankovic, Mark Morrison, Jane Routley, Dr David Waldron, and Richard Watts.

If you're coming to the con you'll be able to meet and interact with them, hear what they have to say about a variety of topics, and maybe even get to play a game with them!

Kat Clay​

Kat Clay is an award-winning Australian author of noir, horror and the weird. Her two Miskatonic Repository releases, The Hammersmith Haunting and The Well of All Fear are best-sellers. Kat has twice recieved the Ditmar Award for Best Fan Writer, acknowledging her contributions to Australian fandom through her blog and YouTube channel.

R.J. Ivankovic​

Hailed as a 'poet genius-artist', R.J. Ivankovic is the Melbourne-based creator of H.P. Lovecraft's Call of Cthulhu for Beginning Readers and H.P. Lovecraft's Dagon for Beginning Readers, and the soon-to-be-announced H.P. Lovecraft's At the Mountains of Madness for Beginning Readers. These works whimsically retell these classic tales in anapestic tetrameter and have been described as "the best adaptation of a Lovecraft story into another medium."

Mark Morrison​

Mark Morrison has written numerous Call of Cthulhu scenarios for Chaosium since the mid-1980s, and led the development of both editions of Horror on the Orient Express. He was also the line editor for Stormbringer and Elric! in the early 1990s. In between his Chaosium stints he has written and designed for videogames for Atari, THQ and Robot Circus, including the storyline for the recent Call of Cthulhu computer game developed by Cyanide. Nowadays Mark is part of Campaign Coins, producing licensed metal products for Call of Cthulhu, RuneQuest, and other games, and is part of Chaosium's community ambassador team.

Jane Routley​

Two-time recipient of the Aurealis Award for best fantasy novel, Jane Routley is an Australian writer who has had a variety of careers, including fruit picker and Occult librarian. After many years playing Call of Cthulhu, she's turned her hand to scenario writing, with two critically acclaimed releases in the Miskatonic Repository - one a Modern adventure about the horrors of living in a share house, the other an "Edwardian romp" featuring Suffragettes. Jane has also served as a judge for the Australian Roleplaying Industry Awards.

David Waldron​

Dr David Waldron is a Senior Lecturer in history at Federation University Australia, with a research focus on folklore and community heritage, particularly the development of urban legends and popular folklore as a response to traumatic community experiences. David's Miskatonic Repository title William Bailey's Haunted Mansion, first presented as a live actual play production at the Ballarat Heritage Festival, received a commendation at the 2023 Victorian Community History Awards.

Richard Watts​

Richard Watts is a prominent Melbourne-based arts writer and broadcaster who has contributed to numerous Chaosium publications over several decades, including writing for Call of Cthulhu, Stormbringer, and Elric! Richard's most recent TTRPG work appears in Golden Goblin press's Cthulhu Invictus supplement Britannia and Beyond (2023).
