Today Graveyards of Arkham Kickstarter backers ($99 and above) received a digital copy of our magnificent Old Arkham Graveyard Map.

Graveyards of Arkham backers at specific levels were able to reserve a graveyard plot of their own; soon we'll be asking them to pick out a headstone from our selection of master masonry, and write their epitaph. There's even a City of Arkham notarised Plot Certificate, which we'll share soon!

About the Old Arkham Graveyard​

The Old Arkham Graveyard on East Church Street in the French Hill neighborhood sits across the street from Smith’s Boarding House - certain rooms within provide a splendid view of the cemetery, although Phineas Smith who runs the boarding house with his wife Harriet suggests refraining from staring at the graveyard at night lest the view encourages troublesome nightmares.

The graveyard is a remnant from Arkham’s founding. Antiquarians and history lovers may delight in finding many 17th century headstones among its well kept vegetation and newer plots. Of course, those taking too much of an interest in the graves are liable to be warned off by Klaus Mehler, the groundskeeper, who is disdainful of those who disturb the rest of those who lie there.

Created by the wickedly inventive HPLHS​

The magnificent Old Arkham Graveyard Map was created specially for the Graveyards of Arkham Kickstarter by our wickedly inventive friends Sean Branney and Andrew Leman of the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society They also contributed the wryly authentic advertisements on the Akrham Map we've already shared in this Kickstarter, and look out for Andrew as a guest NPC when Graveyards of Arkham releases!

Sean and Andrew have won multiple awards for their amazingly authentic props and documents exploring the Mythos, and with this resonantly detailed map you can see why! Check out the other prop sets the HPLHS has created at their website, including the Masks of Nyarlathotep Gamer Prop Set and Call of Cthulhu Classic Prop Set.

They're already two-time ENNIES Product of the Year winners, but the HPLHS continues to raise the bar with their latest Call of Cthulhu prop set: the new Arkham Investigator's Wallet. This is a real vintage-style leather wallet, packed full of more than 40 things that an investigator in 1920s Arkham might have on them. To help crank up the fun, they've even included an all-new Call of Cthulhu scenario written to feature the wallet and its contents!

The Old Arkham Graveyard Map will be available to purchase in general release in the lead-up to the launch of the Graveyards of Arkham Call of Cthulhu actual play series in 2024. In the meantime, do check out the ENNIES-nominated previous series Bookshops of Arkham, if you haven't already!

More stunning verisimilitude from our friends at the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society! This is the official Certificate of Interment for the Old Arkham Cemetery. It was created for our Graveyards of Arkham Kickstarter, and soon we'll be asking backers at the Arkham Citizen pledge level how they'd like to be remembered for eternity.

We're hard at work with editing and post production on the six episodes of Graveyards of Arkham, and look forward announcing the premiere date early in the new year!

Meanwhile, backers of the Kickstarter have been asked write their epitaphs and pick out their plots in the Old Arkham Graveyard, as displayed in the magnificent map created by our friends at the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society.

nb we've had lots of requests from people who missed out during the Kickstarter but would now like a plot in the Old Arkham Graveyard too. We're looking into that, but we're sorting out all the existing pledges first!
