Character Bios and Pics

K nobody's using it LOL

Hey guys - go to the site - alright fine - I'll open it to the public for viewing at least LOL (though we might get crap for copyrighted work - whatever LOL)

post your pics and bios - if people actually start using the darn thing - maybe I'll create an actual site for it and take it off MSN - but not with only 4 members LOL - I won't bother then :-)

LINK to the site is

It's Up!!!

Alright - I have thrown together my own site for this - (I hate MSN lol)
It's up and running - though there is virtually no content on it yet
the forums however - seem to actually be working (although the colors need some work)

Please come visit - I don't have a ton of space - but enough to host some pics and bios for most of ya - and if it really get's going I can likely arrange for more!!

Main site is www.dicemage.com
***warning*** high graphic and not for dial up users
plus the full version requires quicktime :-) just for the stupid dice lol
*Oh - I also put up my little Thirteen Kingdoms movie*

p.s. setting up a perl/cgi message board is a major pain in the butt if you never done it before

Okay - think I found a bug in it for older browsers?

there was a "type" style tag that is not supported and didn't need to be there - please try again (uses java for the menus) and let me know what browser you using

should work now in ie 4+ and Netscape navigator 4+?
thanks

The java version doesn't seem to work under Mozilla 1.6. I may not be seeing the proper places to click, but tabbing through links isn't showing it to me.

Neither the Java nor the full version works under Safari 1.2.1 - definitely no menus. Your rotating die works in the full version, though :)

You might as an initial spot check try going through and fixing some of the errors that http://validator.w3.org spits out - most of them aren't Java-related, but good style in general and might fix other issues.

Damn lol

I have ie 6 - works great - and I installed Netscape Nav 4.74 to try to test older version - works good but looks a little different?

I guess I'll have to either create a non-java version or figure out how to change the code for other browsers (what not everone supports Bill Gates lol)

thanks for the testing guys

here's a direct link to the forum then - maybe it works with cgi and perl I hope lol

I'm using the absolute latest version of FireFox (from Mozilla). I have Java installed - you have to to run OpenRPG. I know very little about web design, so can't help ID the problem :(

Darn weird browsers and W3C LOL

Mozilla and Firefox won't let you put an imagemap inside a div tag - sheesh
fine

changed all the code - still wanted an animated "sliding menu"
so rewrote it all (with some help on the web and a snippet)
and got it to work in mozilla 1.71 (probably older as well) and firefox .92 - as well as the previous ie 4+ and NN 4.74+ - man how many browsers must a guy support lol

so okay - test it and shoot it down again - well at least I'm learnin stuff :-)

www.dicemage.com

thanks for the testing guys
