Character Builder WTFs per minute

What browser and OS are you using? I'm running Windows 7 on a laptop that was top of the line about four years ago. I've found the CB is glitcy on Opera but works fine on Internet Explorer.

I am able to do this now. There's some checkbox you have to check when looking at the available powers. It's called something cryptic and uninformative like "Show Additional Options", and it's very small, but it's there, just above the power list. If you check it you'll see lower level powers as an option.

According to a strict reading of the 'Taking other powers' sidebars in Lands and Kingdoms, Essentials classes can't take lower-level powers than the one they're getting rid of. So technically this is by the rules, if dumb.

No. I feel sorry for people like my friend who went to use it and it errored out on him multiple times. He is still paying for it, so he is basically getting screwed at times. It's cool that it is working for you. It's not always working for everyone else (it works for my friend fine sometimes, other times, not so well).

Has he... asked for a refund? During the first months of bugs, WotC provided a refund of that month to me when I asked for it. If he is having regular difficulties with it, I suspect he could easily request the same thing.

No longer being a subscriber I don't know if they fixed one aspect, but I found that a significant annoyance with the new builder was they only showed the first paragraph of a feat description and you were unable to edit that description. Doesn't sound like a problem? Go read Divine Power, its full of feats like "Power of the Sun". The first paragraph is +2 to Insight checks, big deal. the rest of the feat describes how when you use particular powers they will create a vulnerability to radiant damage in the target. The power card is not updated to include this, nor does it appear in the feat details on the character sheet.

At least in the old builder you could change the feat summary text.

Curse my computer collapse and rebuild, no more halfway decent builder!
