Character Concept Ideas?

I'm just shouting out to get some ideas from people.

We're going to be playing Of Sound Mind soon, and I'll be creating a new 1st level character for it. The group I play with really likes to Roleplay so I'll most likely get good use out of a fun character concept.

I have some in mind, but I'm curious as to what others might come up with that would replace or augment my own ideas.

I'll play pretty much anything out of the core books, so class and race really aren't an issue.

So, if anyone has a fun character concept they've been just dying to talk about, I, for one, would be interested in hearing it.

 

[Crothian]

A dwarven Wizard and do the whole eath based spell theme. But the catcher is his familar is a pet Rock.

Not orignally mine, I read it on the boards a few years back and really liked it.

BoEM2 variant Sorcerer, taking all fighting feats, be a staff fighter.

Kender Paladin, he 'borrows' to help others.

Either one. Or both, as the case may be.

 

[Shallown]

A non specialized fighter. Use the gobs of feats to learn how to do everything. Missile, melee unarmed etc. Carry 5-6 weapons using whatever is needed the most. I did this and wish the game hadn't stopped at 4th level or so. He had quickdraw, Cosmpolitian (FR allows taking a cross class skill as a permanent class skill. I took tumble) PBS,power attack and Cmbt Expertise. I tried to design him to do a little of everything. He carrid a pole arm, a buckler, spiked gauntlet, bolos, a long sword, several daggers, a bow and javelins. He had a high strength just to haul his gear. He was a blast. not optimized but he could deal with whatever came his way. He didn't have any 16-18 stats but several 14-15's which worked out well and was part of the inpiration for him.

It was fun he was extremely pragmatic in personality. Do what had to be done without complaint.

Napoleon Complex... That reminds me of the Gnome Wizard I played once. He was convinced that, if he put on a 3'-high hat, people wouldn't realize he was short. The hat also served as the home for his toad familiar. Of course, he also thought he was invulnerable while he was wearing the hat... but we all have issues.
