Character Creation

I do. I'll post an updated list of my PDFs soon.

However, I don't have Sidewinder, Darwin's World, or the Modern Player's Companion. So I'm having difficulties looking up prestige classes and feats.

Howdy, y'all.
don't worry about a pdf of Unearthed Arcana i gots me a copy now. I'll keep looking for the rest of the books but i've settled on the Inattentive flaw(-4 Spot and Listen) but i was wondering about traits. Can we take them, and if so how many can we take?
Also, questions on two Feats...
Blooded - +2 Initiative and Spot (can only be taken at first level).
Cosmoploitan - Pick a cross-class skill. That skill is always a class skill for your character and recieves a +2 bonus.
Both feats make sense for the sort of "Dodge City" wild west, where things are dangerous and diverse ("We've seen all kindsa folk commin' through here.").
The Traits i wanted, for the record, are...
Aggressive - +2 to Initiative -1 to Defense
Saddleborn - +1 to Ride checks but a -1 to Handle Animal checks

I took the -1 to AC flaw because I thought it fit my character's personality. Why bother to defend yourself? The other person will be unconscious soon enough.

We might have to spend some face time making characters to ensure we're all on the same page as far as what stuff means, and to allow you to look at some of the books that I have that you don't. Additionally, it may help in terms of the team-building I mentioned.

Additionally, while you'll almost certainly not need to purchase all of the books I mentioned above (and there's little doubt that I will acquire more as time progresses) there is something to be said for buying the books you're going to use. If it can't be found on PDF at all, I'd further encourage it.

Both those feats are fine as long as substantially similar versions don't appear in a modern-oriented book. Once more, face time may be key.

Traits are a no-go for the moment. Flaws are new to us at this point, and I'd like to introduce wholly new elements of the game relatively slowly.

Available Feats

Attached is a comprehensive list of feats available (222) in the upcoming game. The book and page number(s) are attached as well.

Please post any questions you might have.

When you get a chance can you include feats from Martial Arts Mayhem? :D

I've modified the .pdf file attached to the original post in this thread to include 4 new advanced classes that I have officially decided to allow. I've also changed the document to reflect the established start date (1879) of the game. It's not reflected in the actual post - just the .pdf, so feel free to download this new (and "official" copy).

I think I have enough of the game background in my head (and the beginnings of an adventure) that we could potentially start playing this as soon as Memorial Day weekend (or maybe a week later).

I don't have the miniatures that I'd like to, but those will come, eventually. I'd like to know if we think we can make that work, who's actually going to be playing, and for those that *are* playing, start posting character details so that I can help fill in any blank spaces, as well as to make sure that my adventure hooks have something to grab onto. Additionally, I want to make sure that even if the characters don't all know each other (though they certainly could with a plausible reason), that every character have a pre-existing connection of some sort to at least one other character (and more is encouraged).

In order to do that, of course, we need to know a little more about the characters. Now's the time to start posting - just remember the guidelines for character creation above (setting and general rules, particularly). If you have a "secret" please discuss it with me now, BEFORE the game starts, and please post the stuff that doesn't need to be secret here.
