I'm A Banana
Potassium-Rich
Hey, everybody!
(Hey, Doctor Nick!)
I got this character, y'see...a Kobold Sorcerer. This lil' spitfire's obsessed with proving that kobolds are not the wusses they appear to be, mostly by telling himself and all those who listen (and some who won't) that he's descended from dragons.
Now, here's the thing -- he wants to prove it.
So I turn to you guys for a bit of assistance in how the character grows. I want him to meet a few requirements:
a) Be able to buff himself to normalcy and beyond. Increase his size, up strength...I know it won't be half as useful as doing that to the fighter, but this guy's character revolves around *him* kicking ass...of the fighter, if need be. He should be able to jack up his AC, his size, add some forms of movement, probably augment his physical stats, and generally turn him into a competent warrior himself.
b) Have a spell selection that is "dragon-like." I'll need spells that scare, spells that give me breath weapons, up AC (scaly!), and I'd even like to get some of the draconic special abilities as spells, if possible. Polymorphing, when he can get it, is going to solve some of that.
c) Not Suck.
So, what would I like you guys to do?
If you'd be so kind, tell me...
1) What classes/PrC combos will be good for a buffer who also needs arcane magic. I was thinking perhaps a sorcerer/cleric combo, or perhaps a sorcerer/psion...any decent PrC's to make me not suck in comparision to, say, our party bard? And to still be able to "fill the niche" of arcane blow-stuff-upper? I'm a bit affraid of psion because his ability scores ain't that great, and a bit affraid of cleric because I want to kinda put one of those in wisdom, and a bit affraid of shugenja because of the focus required.
2) A few potential "spell lists" with effective "dragon spells" on them. Remember, as a sorcerer, he'll need spells that remain effective even at higher levels. I can always burn a feat or two for "extra spells," if need be. I wouldn't see him using a lot of metamagic or item creation, at least.
3) Some suggested spell levels for those draconic abilities would be nice...maybe feats related to their extraordinary abilities?
4) Something like the Dragon Deciple, but with some decent spell progression (not *entirely* nessecary, if I can figure out how to emulate the dragons in the first few spell levels), and a way to make something like a kobold (medium-sized if I follow the book with the Dragon Disciple) grow wings (only available to Large+ according to Tome and Blood)
So...any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm lookin' forward to this lil' bugger, and I want him to be able to be relevant in the party.
FYI, he's got a low strength and intelligence (though I can switch stuff around, no problem, since we haven't started yet), a high Charisma and a decent Wisdom, with Dex and Con being basically average.
The rest of the party consists of:
--A hopeless romantic dwarven paladin
--A kelptomaniacal rogue
--An elven bard
--...dunno...
--Moi.
Have at me!
